About this Trip:
This trip is for Latter-day Saints and their family and friends including teens who think about scriptures when they don't have to. You'll need to be able to walk a mile each day and ride in a vehicle for up to three hours at a time. If you’re not sure it's for you or your family and friends, contact us, and let's chat about it.
The itinerary is as follows:
Day 0: Saturday, May 9
We'll meet in Kansas City, and enjoy an excellent dinner and get acquainted.
Day 1: Sunday, May 10
Sacrament meeting in Independence, Missouri adjacent to the temple site the Lord identified in D&C 57. Visit the temple site, courthouse square, Richmond, Far West, Hawn's Mill site, and Adam Ondi Ahman.
Day 2: Monday, May 11
There will be time for temple worship in the morning before we visit Liberty Jail, then the Missouri state capitol and archives to see an important painting and the extermination order.
Day 3: Tuesday, May 12
We'll spend all day in Nauvoo, seeing the newly acquired sacred sites where Joseph restored the temple ordinances. We'll discover how he resolved two eternally consequential priesthood problems while living on borrowed time. We'll have time for temple worship and/or time to explore.
Day 4: Wednesday, May 13
More time in Nauvoo for temple worship and experiencing the rest of Nauvoo before we embark for the somber ride to Carthage and the site where Joseph Smith sealed his testimony with his blood. We'll stay overnight at the Marriott adjacent to the Lambert airport in St. Louis.
Please note: while our tour does end on May 13th, we request that you book flights home on the 14th so that there is no stress on your part to catch flights on time. We have a hotel booked near the St Louis airport for your convenience on the 13th.
