Yes, trip planning is much different from a travel agent. Travel agents often book hotels and other travel logistics for commissions, and work specifically with certain brands. Trip planning and consulting allows for much more flexibility to book the experiences that are right for your travel needs, which is why we charge a fee rather than relying on commissions.
While our company is a travel agency for many major cruise lines (which we do not charge fees for booking as we work on commissions for cruises), we do not work with specific brands and chains - allowing you to enjoy your preferred travel needs.
Additionally, our staff have incredible local-level knowledge of many destinations throughout the world, as well as college-level education on how to make travel work for you.
We have the ability to book hotels, restaurants, rental vehicles, and local activities and guides.
Due to the terms on conditions of AirBnB and other similar hostshare sites, we can only offer recommendations, not bookings. We often partner with many local providers of hostshare properties and discounts may be available.
We also do not book any air travel or ground transportation other than car rentals. However, we do make recommendations as to which airlines or other transportation services work best for your needs.
For many places in the world, hotel and other reservations can be quite strict and require a card on file or a reservation fee. For this reason, reservations are only offered for additional fees. We do not make commission on hotel and restaurant bookings, so you will not be charged more than the advertised price when making a booking through us.
Yes! Our trip planning is a separate service from booking cruises or scheduled tours.
Our travel agents book cruises on commission, so there are no planning fees associated with cruises.
Our scheduled trips with guest speakers and a set itinerary are also separate from our trip planning services. We only charge the flat fee for those trips.
